SEN Teaching Assistant
Full time - Permanent - £16,000 - £20,000
Starfyn Education are working with a SEN School in Shepperton to find exceptional and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to support children from September. Many of the pupils are pre-verbal with other complex needs. The school is seeking two caring and committed teaching assistants with a background in supporting young children with special educational needs.

For this post, you must be an assertive and caring Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role. You will provide a willingness to contribute to all lessons and overseeing the preparation of lessons for the pupil/s in your charge. You must have the skills to confidently face challenging situations with a calm and collective approach. Previous experience supporting students is an essential requirement of this role.
About the Role
You will be working in a SEN class of between 6 - 8 pupils, supporting the class teacher in the day to day running and activities in class. The children are pre-verbal and learning about the world around them. These children need routine and consistency, so a TA with excellent organisational skills, dependable and hardworking would be ideal.
